We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with fresh fruits and herbs and you really can’t beat the health benefits they provide! So why not add some tasty combinations of them to your daily intake of water? Here are a few of our favourite spring themed infused water recipes to help you enjoy this season and to help your body stay in tip-top shape!

Tips for Creating the Best Infused Water

Before we dive in, here are a couple things to keep in mind when creating your own infused water:

  1. Be sure to always clean your fruit and herbs to make sure they are free from chemicals and dirt. We personally like this Fruit & Vegetable Wash from Soapnut Republic because it removes approximately three times more toxic chemical residue than using water alone and it is completely natural.
  2. We highly recommend you use filtered water not only for the best possible taste, but also for health and safety reasons. If you do not own a water filter we invite you to take a look at our selection here

Springtime Strawberry Spa Water

This first recipe from Get Inspired Every Day contains one of everyone’s favourite springtime fruits: strawberries. Strawberries are not only sweet and delicious, they are full of vitamin C, antioxidants, and potassium! This recipe also contains lemon, cucumber, and basil or mint— your choice! For a refreshing, healthy, and yummy spring drink, we think this recipe is a winner!

Pear, Raspberry, Rosemary Water

We get this lovely recipe from Spoon University. Pears are good for your digestion and heart, while rosemary is great for boosting your immune system and is actually good for your brain, helping with things like memory.  Raspberries are known for weight control and, according to this article by Healthline, can slow some of the effects of aging as they contain nutrients and vitamins that have been linked to longer life spans, healthy skin, and improved strength and balance.

Strawberry-Blueberry-Kiwi Water

Nothing says, ‘spring is here’ more than fresh berries, which is why we love this sweet recipe from The Beach House Kitchen! Besides all of the amazing health benefits that come with the berries, you also can also get some surprising benefits from kiwis as well! Kiwis can help regulate your blood sugar and have recently been found to help treat asthma!

Passion Fruit, Ginger and Orange Water

For a tropical and zingy change, why not try this recipe from She Knows? Not only can ginger add a little kick to your water, it’s also a great natural remedy for stomach aches and headaches. Also, did you know that passion fruit is sometimes called a super fruit because of the high amount of fiber and vitamins it contains? Oranges are great for your brain, your vision, and your skin! Plus, when consumed regularly, they can lower your risk for certain types of cancer and other long term serious health conditions!
