With the temperatures rising in Hong Kong, it becomes extra important to hydrate daily for whole body health. One great way to make sure your body is getting enough water as well as some added vitamins and nutrients, is to make fruit and herb infused water.

In a previous post, we’ve discussed how easy it is to infuse your water, as well as the many benefits.

Here’s a great recipe that uses ingredients you can find easily in Hong Kong – ginger, basil & lime. Not only is the mix of these fruits and herbs delicious, it’s also got some great health benefits:

Ginger is a miracle root with many health benefits. Proven benefits include improving digestion, curing nausea, relieving muscle pain, having anti-inflammatory effects and potentially even reducing the risk of heart disease.

Basil is known to contain antioxidants that fight diseases, as well as acting as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that fight viruses and infections. The fragrant herb has even been said to help fight the effects of stress on the body and improve cardiovascular health.

Lime can help with weight loss, improve your digestive tract, and also make your skin healthier
